A fourteen-year-old outside Florence boards a “flying scooter” and loses three hours to a fleet of dozens of discs. Eight campers in the Russian Caucasus watch their rifles fail in unison after firing on a floating giant. A researcher’s academic background lends unusual weight to a multi-entity Indiana abduction account, and a pilot’s own speed estimate over Indian Lake, Ohio lands within a percentage point of what independent ground radar clocked at the very same moment. Two well-documented Melbourne sightings — one already excellent on this archive, one rebuilt here — round out a month that also, with real caution, must document an extraordinary and unverified claim of mass tragedy in Kenya.

Summary: A 32-year-old housewife recalled that as a child in Hull, she and a friend observed a silver “aircraft” with no wings, tail, or markings hovering silently over adjacent rooftops. Two entirely human-looking figures were visible through a row of portholes — a woman who half-smiled at her, and a man of about 20. The object remained motionless and silent; when the girl looked away and back, it had vanished. Her playmate saw it as well.

Summary: Marie-Louise, on a daily walk near the La Croze farm, saw a shiny, flattened, dominantly red hemispheric object, comparable in size to a large car, resting on a tripod near fir trees. Two small (1 m or less), bulky-headed, metal-gray beings collected something in the meadow, apparently unaware of her. After a few minutes they returned beneath the craft carrying vegetation, and it rose trembling, silently, then departed at speed.

Summary: Physics teacher Valentin Nikolaevich Starogortsev, resting at a health center southeast of Moscow, was approached by a stranger who discussed wavelength communication with the moon and invited him to help establish such a connection. Skeptical at first, Starogortsev then saw a spacecraft land nearby and was taken to the moon by its human-passing, fluent-Russian-speaking crew. Later sources suggested he had made significant scientific discoveries with potential military applications and was “neutralized” via this contact; he reportedly went on to teach selected humans about the aliens’ lunar bases.

Summary: A 13-year-old, camping with family, woke to coyote howls and began receiving telepathic messages, prompting him to wave a lantern to reveal his location. Three human-shaped figures looked down through a large porthole before a bottom panel opened and a bright spotlight flooded the campsite, leaving the witnesses paralyzed and confused. Hiding to observe, the witness saw two tall entities in bluish “space suits” and dark goggles retrieve three metal boxes from compartments, one of them collecting young bushes from a nearby cornfield. The entities re-entered and the object departed vertically with a loud whistle.

Seen through binoculars, it showed a dark central mass with light rays of unequal length. It repeated this pattern for 15 minutes before departing over the northern horizon.

June 1954’s sheer volume reflects the broader wave conditions of the era, but its strongest individual entries stand on their own merits: Indian Lake, Ohio’s rare visual-radar speed convergence; the Gubskaya-Barakayevskaya rifle-malfunction case, formally reported decades later to a national scientific body; and the extraordinarily detailed Sesto Fiorentino account, whose witness’s own narrative honestly shifts from vivid clarity to haziness rather than offering a suspiciously seamless whole.
This month also required this archive’s most careful handling of an extraordinary claim: the Kirimukuyu, Kenya entry describes an entire village’s population dying in a single night, attributed to UFO activity. No independent corroboration for that claim exists in the available record, and it is presented here explicitly as an unverified, single-source report — not as documented fact.
