Summary: A man identified only as “L.B.” was returning home on an isolated road after an evening playing checkers with neighbors when he noticed a bright light and metallic-sounding noises near a farm. Approaching, thinking he had stumbled onto a clandestine still operation, he instead found a luminous disc about 6 meters in diameter, hovering roughly a meter and a half off the ground. Beside it, illuminated by the light, stood a well-built, youthful figure about 1.6 meters tall in phosphorescent clothing, wearing a leather mask with two eye-holes that ended just under the mouth. The figure spoke words in an unknown language resembling German. A second, smaller figure with a larger, hood-covered head then emerged from beneath the craft; it pointed a flashlight-like device at the witness, who felt instantly paralyzed but remained able to see and hear. This second figure approached, touched the witness with deformed, arthritic-looking fingers, briefly removed its hood to reveal a wrinkled, immobile face with two black eyes set at different heights, then replaced the hood. Both figures spoke loudly to each other, returned to the craft, and entered via a small retractable ladder; the witness then blacked out and did not see the object depart.

Summary: A woman recalled that, as a six-year-old girl, she saw what she took for an airplane in a clover field near her home; approaching, she found it had neither wings nor wheels but was oval-shaped, silvery gray at both ends and black in the center, with an open doorway. Four beings moved “awkwardly” around it, not much taller than she was, wearing bright green outfits with hoods leaving only an oval portion of their faces bare; their eyes appeared strange and immobile. She approached and engaged in what she now believes was telepathic conversation, though she does not recall its content, before a sudden fear overtook her and she fled, glancing back to see the object take off slowly and smoothly. A lasting fear of the site and an association between normal aircraft and the memory persisted for some time afterward.

Lying on a couch, she reported seeing several tall, thin, hairless beings with large heads, large eyes, and long slender fingers, all apparently male, with a shorter figure who seemed to be their leader; all wore gray, tight-fitting suits with helmets. She recalled a lengthy communication with a friendly “older” being who provided a great deal of information, and recalled a blood sample being taken from her.

Summary: Mrs. Mason Vaughan, at her well, heard a humming sound like a swarm of bees and saw an aluminum-like, lens-shaped disc, 8 to 10 feet in diameter, land in her backyard field. From an open cockpit at its center, a man wearing unusual goggles or a headpiece looked out; seemingly surprised to be seen, he immediately took off again, colliding in his diagonal departure with an oak tree and breaking off a limb. A depression was left in the ground at the landing site.
