Four representative cases from the undated April 1950 UFO reports archived on this page, headlined by the Canby, Oregon tiny-humanoid encounter.
1950: April Unknown Date
UFO|UAP & Entity Sightings Archive
This log gathers April 1950 reports whose sources give no specific day, along with a handful dated only to spring 1950. They include a Canby, Oregon woman’s account of a foot-tall humanoid figure in her neighbor’s yard, a filmed disc-landing case in Alaska, a Peruvian airport sighting, and a Blue Book-evaluated daylight meteor in Arizona.
Date: April 1950
Location: Canby, Oregon
Time: Daytime
Summary: Mrs. Ellen Jonerson was working on her lawn when she saw, on a neighbor’s lot, a very tiny person, no more than 12 inches tall, standing with his back turned toward her. He turned to face her: a man with a heavily tanned face, clad in coveralls and a plaid shirt, wearing a skullcap over hair the same color as his face, wide-shouldered and stocky. Mrs. Jonerson went back to her house to call a friend; when she returned, the being was “waddling” away. He walked under a 1937 Dodge without stooping, and that was the last she saw of him.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Reports Fixed Only to the Month
Several undated April entries duplicate dated reports elsewhere: the South Pole entry is the February 23 Antarctic case, the Juneau film is the April 29 case, and the White Sands film may be the April 27 Holloman tracking. They are kept here with their source labels so each dating is traceable. The Canby, Oregon report of a foot-tall figure remains one of the archive’s more unusual small-entity accounts, set apart from the tall, human-scaled occupants in other 1950 reports.
“…one of the rare daylight sightings of this phenomena.”
