1943 Archive — Five anchor cases as the Foo Fighter phenomenon took hold: Schweinfurt Germany October 14 (384th Bomb Group silver discs, German fighters absent, Caiden/Roberts), RAF Ludham Norfolk May (John Warren grinning diver-helmeted entity and bell-tent craft, BUFORA Vol.4 #2), Exelgroud near Gdansk Poland July 18 (Daniel Leger, tall blond occupant, counter-rotating disc, Timothy Good/Alien Base/Jean Sider), Tres Arroyos Buenos Aires Argentina (two police officers, tall metallic-suited occupants, EM vehicle effect, Burgos/FAO), Rojdafors Värmland Sweden August (Arne Svensson, watch welded from within, 30x30m burnt square, CE-II physical effects). thinkaboutitdocs.com.
1943: UFO|UAP & Alien Sightings Archive
By 1943 the war had reached its industrial apex — Schweinfurt, Dortmund, Essen, Stuttgart were burning under Allied bombing runs, German fighters swarmed the B-17 formations, and something else was up there too. On October 14, 1943, during the second Schweinfurt raid, crews of the 384th Bomb Group observed a cluster of small silver discs approximately 3 inches wide by 1 inch thick flying through their formation. The German fighters that normally swarmed through the bombers were mysteriously absent. Over Essen in May, RAF airmen tracked a cylindrical silvery-gold object with evenly spaced portholes that sat motionless before accelerating to several thousand miles per hour. Off Norway in December, a bell-shaped orange object ascending from an Oslo field caused three automobiles’ engines to stall and left a 1.5-meter melted snow circle. Four ferry pilots in a Mosquito over the English Channel watched a cigar three times the length of a Flying Fortress, with a glazed nose and two men in shining metallic suits inside, fly alongside them before tilting upward and climbing almost vertically. In the Persian Gulf, a seaman watched a huge disc pacing his ship underwater at 12 knots in a soft greenish glow.
This is the year the Foo Fighter phenomenon took hold — and the entity record of 1943 is extraordinary. On May night in Norfolk, RAF armorer John Warren passed a grinning round-faced figure in a glowing-box suit watching a grey bell-tent-shaped craft from behind a hedge, a second figure taking ground samples nearby — the fear he felt was of a man who knew the smile was wrong. In Argentina, two police officers watching tall metallic-suited beings with buckets moving around a landed disc found their car engine dead. In Poland near Gdansk in July, Daniel Leger helped a tall blond woman in a dark one-piece suit free her counter-rotating-ring disc from the sand and watched her rise northward at very high speed. In Russia, the West Yaroslavl cluster produced its final documented encounter: young Alexander Gusev on a rural road passed four greenish humanoids with staffs and peaked caps, the tallest threatening him with a fist and showing horse-like teeth. In Sweden, a military guard at the Norwegian border was blinded, immobilized, burned, and left with a watch stopped at 22:13 and a 30×30 meter burnt vegetation square. In 1943 the war was everywhere and the phenomenon was everywhere the war was not supposed to be.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Year the Foo Fighters Became Official — 1943
The 1943 archive is the year the Foo Fighter phenomenon entered the official military record. Schweinfurt on October 14 gave the world a War Office document (unlocated) describing small silver discs escorting the 384th Bomb Group while German fighters inexplicably stood down. Essen in May gave an RAF crew a cylindrical golden object with portholes that sat motionless and then accelerated to several thousand miles per hour. A PB2Y5 over the North Atlantic had an object match every evasive turn its pilot made before accelerating away in 30 seconds — documented by Richard Hall and interviewed by Richard Haines. Over Germany the NICAP record fills in: Naples, Duisburg, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Edmen. Over the Pacific: Burma, the Bering Sea, the Russell Islands, Guam, the Persian Gulf. 1943 is the year the Foo Fighter phenomenon is no longer a cluster of anomalous events — it is a systematic pattern with a geographic signature matching every major theatre of the war.
The entity record of 1943 is equally remarkable and equally distributed. The strongest cases are: the Col de Teghime Corsica landing (Jean Sider — two blond occupants, Gestapo-wanted witnesses), the RAF Ludham Norfolk encounter (BUFORA — John Warren’s grinning diver-helmeted figure and the bell-tent craft), the Tres Arroyos Argentina police CE-II with EM effects (Burgos/FAO — among the first documented Latin American humanoid cases), the Nowiny Poland five-witness CE-III with knockdown effect (Piechota/Rzepecki), the Exelgroud Gdansk tall blond woman with counter-rotating disc (Timothy Good/Alien Base; Jean Sider), and the Rojdafors Sweden military guard’s CE-II with burns, internally welded watch, and 30×30 meter burnt square. The West Yaroslavl cluster closes: Alexander Gusev on the wooden road over the mire, the tall green-faced entity threatening him with its fist. Whatever was operating in that lake and on those roads from 1932 to 1943 is not documented again after this encounter.
“He said the face was round, without any noticeable cheekbones or chin. As he passed the figure… he saw a large, domed object in the field behind this grinning entity. A second figure was moving around, doing something with the ground, as though taking samples.”
— BUFORA Research Bulletin, Vol. 4 #2, reporting RAF armorer John Warren’s May 1943 encounter near RAF Ludham, Norfolk, England.
