Preparing a bonfire for the night, he went into the surrounding woods to gather brushwood, moving gradually deeper into the forest as he collected sticks and branches.

A sudden, inexplicable uneasiness stopped him. Looking around, he noticed a strange glow filtering through the trees. Without setting down his firewood, he walked directly toward it. After roughly 300 meters, he reached the edge of an extensive clearing, thick with tall grass and blanketed in fog that vividly reflected white light coming from something resting in its center.
